The picture shows a view of this Old Unused & Boxed Carve A Gull Wooden Bird Model Kit with Instructions. This model kit is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. The kit comes with the box, the instructions, and bagged items including a generally shaped wooden body, wings, two nails for legs and a piece of sandpaper. You would finish carving and sanding the wooden parts, install the nail legs, mount it on some driftwood, paint the bird, and paint feet on the driftwood. The box pictures a seagull on a rock in the water and it is marked as follows:

CARVE - A - GULL
A CLEVER
''DO IT YOURSELF''
MODEL
A PRODUCT OF
DOWN - EAST NOVELTIES, INC.
YARMOUTH, MAINE

To judge the sizes the box measures 6'' x 3-5/8'' x 1-3/4''. It appears to be in mint as made condition. The box has two tiny pin holes at the top left side of the lid as pictured.
