The picture shows a front and back view of this Old National Deaf Mute Sales Company Advertising Premium ID Key Chain. The keychain is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s. It is imprinted in blue and red on a white background. This is a registered keychain where if you lost your keys they could be returned to you by mail using the registration number. There is a bead chain for keys. It was most likely acquired when a donation was made. The keychain has the sign language letters of the alphabet on it. It has the good luck symbols of a horseshoe and a four leaf clover. It also pictures The Statue of Liberty. It has the sign language alphabet and it is marked on the two sides as follows:

RARE LUCKY KEY CHAIN

DEAF MUTE ALPHABET

The octagon shaped celluloid fob measures 1-3/4'' wide. It appears to be in near mint condition with only very light wear as pictured.

As a strange side note about this item, it was found among many other small religious items in a hidden locked metal box in the attic of a Gilmington, New Hampshire home by the current owner. The home was once that of the infamous serial killer Herman Webster Mudgett (1861 - 1896) known as ''the most prolific murderer known in recent criminal History.''. We are sure that it did not belong to him, but thought it was worth mentioning where it was found.
