The picture shows a view of this ©1966 Hard Back Book of Submarines. This book is ©1955, 1966 by Grosset & Dunlap, Inc. of New York. It was written and illustrated by Jack McCoy. Its (30) pages are filled with colorful illustrations and much information on the History of submarines. Mostly it contains United States Navy submarines, but also inclluded are ones such as Jules Verne's ''Nautilus'', the sinking ''Luisitania'', different early submarines: The ''Turtle'', ''Nautilus'', The ''Hunley'', The ''Argonaut'' and The ''U.S.S. Holland''. The book has the U.S.S. 06 ''0'' Class, The U.S.S. S-1 ''S'' Class, The U.S.S. Perch 313 ''Fleet Class, and The U.S.S. Nautilus 571. The book also pictures the U.S.S. Albacore, U.S.S. Hardhead (SS-365), the submarine tender U.S.S. Fulton, submarine rescue ship U.S.S. Skylark, Nuclear submarines, Polaris Missile, Search, Rescue, & Research submarines, plus more. There is much information about submarines on the pages. The book measures 8-1/2'' x 11-1/4'' x 3/8''. The pages are in mint condition and the cover has some light wear as pictured.
