It is unknown what this old metal plate was on, maybe luugage, a suitcase, steamer trunk or possibly even a furniture item. It has the Macys name with red star logo. Traces of red can still be seen on the star. There are two holes as made to attach by screw or nail. It is made of brass or bronze and is marked as follows: R . H. MACY & CO.
