The picture shows a view of this 1800s United States Army Spanish American War Color Print. The print is not dated but it is believed to be from 1898 to 1899. The image is from a painting by Gilbert Gaul. It has a printed signature. The color lithograph show the American troops storming the trenches of Santiago, Cuba. This is from a fold open book so it shows a vertical seam at the center as made. The book title is unknown. Santiago, Cuba was a focal point during the Spanish American War. In July 1898, the entire Spanish fleet was destroyed near its coast. It is marked below the images as follows:

''IN THE TRENCHES BEFORE SANTIAGO.''

The print would look great matted and framed. It measures 12-3/4'' x 9-3/4''. It is in excellent condition as pictured.
