|The pictures below show larger front and back views of all (3) Small Old White Elephant Shop Milford New Hampshire Items in this lot. The linen post card is postmarked 1947 and the matchbooks are old as well. It has a one cent George Washington postage stamp and it was mailed from Abington, Massachusetts to a Brockton, Massachusetts address. The postcard pictures the large antique and second hand shop. It is marked on the two sides as follows:|
White Elephant Shop, The Largest Antique and Second-Hand Shop on Earth. Milford, N.H. On Route 101A.
One and one-third acres of floor space, filled with “Anything from a collar button to an Elephant,” open 365 days in the year. “Browsers” welcome.
The match book covers are the same except one is missing the striker. Neither has any matches. They picture a white elephant and reads as follows:
White Elephant Shop Route 101-A Milford, N.H.
Anything from a collar button to an Elephant
The Largest Of Its Kind In The World
Match Corp. Of America – Chicago
Made in U.S.A.
To judge the sizes the post card measures about 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. These items appear to be in good used condition as pictured. The matchbooks have old paste on the back from being in a srcap book at one time. As mentioned above one is missing the striker.
