| | | | The picture shows the embossed cover of this 1970 United States Navy Great Lakes Recruit Training Command Book. This book is for the 2nd Regiment, 26th Battalion, Company 271. The Company was in training from 29 July 1970 to 12 October 1970. This hard cover book is like a school or class yearbook. All branches of the military have these for schools, and cruise books in the Navy. It contains all of the information you would expect on the military training and at The Great Lakes Recruit Training Command. It has the pictures of the graduating class with the names of the then future Navy Sailors. Many of those pictured in here most likely went to serve in the Vietnam War and hopefully came home safely. The book measures 9-1/4" x 12-1/4" x 1/2". It appears to be in excellent to near mint condition with only light wear to the cover as pictured. |
