| | | | The pictures show views of the (2) Different 1940 - 1942 School Autograph Books in this lot. The soft cover book states that it is from ''PIMLICO SCHOOL Sept. 1935 - Feb. 1941''. The embossed hard cover book states that it is ''PROPERTY OF SHIRLEY HOVSHA - GARRISON JR. HIGH SCHOOL''. The locations of these schools are unknown to us. There may be some clues in some of the writings. The pages have the signatures or autographs of students and probably Teachers as well. Some pages are just signed, some have poems, and some have full pages of writing. Many of them are dated. A few random sample pages are pictured below. The embossed one has a woman image in an oval on the cover with some designs imprinted in gold. Both of these for one price! To judge the sizes the larger home made one measures 6-3/4'' x 4''. They appear to be in very good condition as pictured. The embossed book has many more pages with quite a few blank ones. This one has some old glue on the cardboard where the green paper cover is missing. |
