1930s United States Navy Torpedo / Observation Sea Plane Photograph
United States   Navy   Torpedo   Observation   Sea Plane   Airplane. Military   War   Photo   Photograph
The picture shows a view of this 1930s United States Navy Torpedo / Observation Sea Plane Photograph. The seaplane in this old photo had just dropped its torpedo when the photo was taken. This photograph is not dated but it was found with other navy photographs and newsletters from 1925 to 1935. It was found with photos of the U.S.S. Augusta (CA-31) and the U.S.S. Chicago (CA-29), both cruisers as well as others carried and used these planes. They were catapulted from the ships and picked back up with a crane upon their return. The photograph measures 4-1/4'' x 3-1/4''. It is in mint condition as pictured.
