| | | The picture shows a front and back view of this 1904 Eastern Steamship Company S.S. Calvin Austin Ship Real Photo Post Card. The name and company can be read on the bow. The S.S. Calvin Austin was a single funnel, four deck passenger ship owned by Eastern Steamship Company. It was in service from 1903 to around 1930. The postcard has a one cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp. It has two 1904 postmarks, one from Eastport, Maine and the other is from Lowell, Massachusetts. It was sent to a Miss Mae Colewell at a Lowell, Mass. address. It measures 5-7/16'' x 3-1/2''. It appears to be in excellent condition with some wear and a corner crease as pictured. |
