The picture shows a view of the (2) Different 1950s Downtown Milford New Hampshire Picture Post Cards in this lot. These are not dated but they are from the 1950s. Both of them are at the Common, or ''Oval'' in Milford. They have old cars, buildings, businesses, and advertising signs. The first postcard has the Eage Hall in the center, City Hall at the right and cars parked at the Oval at the left. Also seen is other buildings looking North including ''BOULTER'S REXALL PHARMACY''. It is marked on the front as follows: MILFORD COMMON FACING NORTH MILFORD, N.H. The second postcard faces South with City Hall left of center along with ''BOULTER'S REXALL PHARMACY'', ''THE COUNTY STORES'' ''WHITE ELEPHANT SHOP'' and ''E. P. HALLET CO. PLUMBING AND HEATING''. Other signs include: ''REXALL DRUGS - LUNCH BAR'', ''KYANIZE PAINTS'', ''TRAFFIC CIRCLE KEEP RIGHT'', and a mileage sign that reads as follows: NASHUA 12 BROOKLINE 8 WORCESTER 45 WILTON 5 KEENE 37 It is marked on the front as follows: MILFORD COMMON FACING SOUTH MILFORD, N.H. These have divided backs and they read: POST CARD MERRIMACK POST CARD CO. 110 MERRIMAC ST., HAVERHILL, MASS. The postcards each measure 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''.
