The picture shows a front and back view of the (2) 1950s Post Raisin Bran Cereal Prize Hopalong Cassidy Western Badges in this lot. These lithographed tin badges are not dated but they were used as an in box cereal prize from between 1950 and 1952. There are (12) in the complete set. The first one has an image of Sitting Bull on a shield. It is marked ''CHIEF'' and ''SITTING BULL'' on the front and ''POST'S RAISIN BRAN'' on the back. Also on the front are Native American Indian symbols around the outer edge. There is a fold over tin tap to hook on a shirt pocket or lapel. The second one has images of a steer head, cactus, and stars. It is marked ''RANCH BOSS'' on the front and ''POST'S RAISIN BRAN'' on the back. Also on the front are various cow or horse ranch brands around the outer edge. There is a fold over tin tap to hook on a shirt pocket or lapel. The badges each measure 2'' tall. They appear to vary from fair to very good condition with some rusting or wear as pictured. |
