The picture below shows a larger view of all (11) Small United States Homefront War Related Items in this lot. This is an accumulated lot with a variety of items. There are a few duplicate items here. Included are the following: There is an old black & white photograph. The photo has an image of a woman holding a frame of men in the military probably for World War II service. Those pictured may be her Sweetheart, Husband, Father, or Brothers. The larger one is a U.S. Navy Sailor. The right one is a U.S. Army Soldier, and the third or left one is unknown. There is a border design around the image. There is a United Staes Navy / Mother gold colored metal heart pin. Similar to a Sweet Heart pin, but this one is for a Serviceman’s “Mother”. The two part pin has a black enameled heart, with three clear stones on the arrow o one end of a chain. Connected on the other end of the chain is a “USN” anchor. There are no markings on the back. There is a small red, white and blue cardboard pin. This one may be from World War I. It has a shield shape and it is marked as follows: FOR THE BOYS OVER THERE UNITED WAR WORK CAMPAIGN There are (3) “THIRD LIBERTY LOAN” celluloid pinback buttons. Each of these picture the Liberty Bell. Two of them have a paper insert in the back that have a Union mark and read as follows: THE WHITEHEAD & HOAG CO. NEWARK, N.J. BUTTONS, BADGES, NOVELTIES, AND SIGNS There are (2) “FOURTH LIBERTY LOAN” tin pinback buttons. Each of these picture a flag. The two have the same design but they were made by two different companies. The back have a Union mark and read as follows: DESIGN REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. (on the edge) ANIMATE TOY CO. NEW YORK. MANUFACTURED BY THE AMERICAN ART WORKS COSHOCTON, OHIO There is a hat or neck tie type pin with a back section. It is enameled and has an American Flag and a Service Star flag. There are (2) different “V” (for Victory) hat or neck tie type pins with back sections. One is blue and it is enameled. The other has red paint and the “V” is within a circle. The back of the red one reads: © M.V.C. 1986 All eleven of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the photograph measures about 3-5/16'' x 5''. These items appear to be in excellent to mint condition as pictured. |
