The picture shows this Old Boxed Set Of Fortune Telling Cake Favors. Shown are the (12) included favors, two sides of the box, the wrappers for the prizes, and both sides of the fortune / instruction sheet. Earlier metal versions of these were actually meant to be baked inside a cake. The instructions on these tell you to put these inside after the cake is baked and then when sliced it the charm you received told your fortune. It is hard to believe that anyone today would use these as they were intended.

One side of the box pictures a Bithday cake with candles and the other side is marked

"FORTUNE TELLING CAKE SET"

The ring and the lock are made of metal and the others are all plastic. These exact same prizes were also used as prizes in old gum ball machines. The (12) prizes and fortunes included are as follows:

Ring - Soon Married
Dog - A Faithful Friend
Clothes Iron - A Large Family
Parasol - A Rain Maker
Chair - Bookkeeper
Bottle - A Nurse
Lantern - A Watchman
Ballarina - A Great Dancer
Black Cat - Old Maid
Lock - A Banker
Whistle - A Policeman

To judge the sizes the box measures 2" x 3" x 1/2". The toy prizes are in mint condition and the box is excellent with only very light wear.
