The picture shows the (2) Old Automobile Photographs in this lot. These photos came from the same family and they are believed to have the same early car in both. I think this is an old Ford Model T, but I am not 100% sure. If I am wrong please e-mail me and let me know. In both photographs this car is seen on a road trip. In the top photo the old car is next to a sign that was somewhere in the White Mountains of New Hampshire or Maine. The signs on the post read as follows: POLAND SPRINGS BRETTON WOODS POLAND CORNER 2-1/2 MS. MAPLE GROVE POINT ARCADIA CAMP FOR GIRLS - CASCO There is writing on the back of this photo that reads as follows: ARTHUR & TRESSIE UP IN THE MOUNTAINS ABOUT 1917 The bottom photograph pictures the family standing next to the old car while resting during a road trip. This one is believed to be from the 1910's as well. The young girl in front is holding an old doll. Hanging in the car are four souvenir pennants that can be seen. The far right one can't be read but the other three read as follows: LORAIN, OHIO BUFFALO (New York ?) CANADA To judge the sizes the larger photo measures 5-1/8" x 3-1/4". The top photo has a missing corner section and creasing. The bottom photo is in excellent condition. |
