Toy   Cap   Gun
The picture shows both sides of this 1800's Cast Iron Comet Toy Cap Gun. This toy gun was found on some property in northern New Hampshire. It has the word "COMET" on the sides. I don't see any other markings. I can't tell what the design is on the grips. There is much pitting on this one. Because I don't know much about this gun or who the manufacturer is you will have to be the judge by the pictures. I can say that it is made up of two welded halves and a trigger / hammer section. Apparently the spring is gone if there was one. The hammer moves freely but the trigger is frozen. It measures 5-1/2" long.
