The picture shows this Old U.S.O. (WWII ?) Checkers / Chess Game Set. This is believed to be from World War II. All parts are made of paper or heavy cardboard. Beginning at the left, pictured is the closed Checkers / Chess board. It is marked as follows: NATIONAL CATHOLIC COMMUNITY SERVICE (NCCS) MEMBER AGENCY OF USO Next is the matching envelope the game parts come in. After that the picture show the opened Checkers / Chess game board. The next two images are the two sides of the same piece. This this cardboard section holds the game parts. To judge the sizes the opened game board measures 8" x 8". Over all this item is in excellent condition. The envelope has some tears (not pictured). There are some game pieces missing (see picture below). |
