Old Rochester, New Hampshire Colby's Restaurant Advertising China Bowl
Rochester   New Hampshire   Restaurant   Food   Advertising   China   Bowl   Dish   Plate
The picture shows a top and bottom view of this Old Rochester, New Hampshire Colby's Restaurant Advertising China Bowl. The bowl is not dated but it is believed to be from the early 1900s. The Colbys Restaurant and Colbys Ole Towne Tavern on Hanson Street in Rochester, N.H. has now burned down along with the building next to it. The bowl is imprinted in red and black on the top and green on the bottom. There is a ring with ribbons or bows with garland and baskets of flowers. There is a red ring and the name ''COLBY'S'' in the center. The back is marked with the manufacturer as follows:

W. H. DAVENHALL
FARMINGTON, N.H.
JACKSON CHINA

The bowl is thick and heavy for its size. It measures 4-7/8'' wide. It is in good condition as pictured. It has some old rust spots that may be able to be removed by the buyer if desired.
