Elephant   Japanese   Charm   Ivory   Bone   Carving   Miniature
The picture shows both sides of the (2) Old Carved Ivory Or Bone Items in this lot. There is a Japanese Head and an elephant. The elephant has a hole for a loop but the loop is missing. The head appears to be that of a Japanese man or woman. The head was most likely made to fit on a body. Somewhere out there is a very nicely carved headless figure. Neither of these are marked in any way that I can see, but both are old. To judge the sizes the elephant charm measures 3/4" tall. They appear to be in mint as made condition.
