| | | | The picture shows a view of this Large 1953 United States Army Captain Commissioned Officer Award Certificate with Envelope in this lot. This certificate was from The President of The United States of America and it is dated February 12, 1953. The document has the Great Seal, a gold seal from the War Office, and two facsimile (?) signatures at the bottom. It is a lithograph by by The Bureau of Engraving and Printing. The certificate is for a woman for her appointment to a Reserve Commissioned Officer in the grade of Captain in the Army of The United States. The document was mailed from The Department of The Army, Office of the Adjutant General in Washington, D.C. to a Winthrop, Massachusetts address. The envelope and a card board is included. The document measures 10'' x 14''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. The envelope is opened at one end and it has some small spotting on the back. |
