| | | The picture shows a view of the 1928 Massachusetts Society For Protection of Insane and Mentally Infirm Booklet & Envelope in this lot. The booklet has (12) pages. It reads about the rights, or the lack of those rights concerning the mentally insane. It talks about their poor treatment, conditions, and confinement. It explains about the slow process of Massachusetts law at the time. It also explains the need for donations to aid the mentally ill patients with their care and their living standards. The booklet pictures their building at 640 Tremont Building in Boston, Massachusetts and also mentions a rest home that was in Dorchester. It also has a list of Directors. The booklet is a plea for help and it comes with a pre stamped envelope which was never used. The envelope has a red George Washington two cent postage stamp. To judge the sizes the booklet measures 6-1/4'' x 3-1/2''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
