The picture shows a view of this Old Societe De Bienfaisance Amesbury, Massachusetts Ribbon. The year this ribbon was made is unknown but it is old. It is in french and is believed to be from a Canadian or French Benevolant Society. Apparently it is from Amesbury, Massachusetts. It has a red, white, and blue rosette with a star at the top and a pin on the back, an imprinted white ribbon with a beaver and wreath of leaves, and metallic tassels at the bottom. It is marked as follows:

Societe De Bienfaisance
DE
AMESBURY, MASS.
L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE

The ribbon measures 10-1/2'' long. It is only in fair condition as pictured. There is wear to the star at the top and the ribbon needs to be cleaned. It has over all soiling and some spotting as pictured.
