The picture shows all (6) 1967 Montreal Exposition Items in this lot. The two large plates are identical with the exception that one has gold maple leaves all around the edge and the other does not (as made). Both of these are marked on the back "BRITISH ANCHOR ENGLAND HOSTESS WARE". On the front they have the Expo logo, the Canadian flag, and are marked "EXPO 67 MONTREAL CANADA". There is a bird's eye view in the center and images of the following exhibition buildings: Canada, Great Britain, Mexico, USSR, Scandinavia, Stadium, Place D' Accueil, Habitat, Czechoslovakia, U.S.A., Germany, and France. Both are in mint condition. Next is an imprinted smoked black glass tray or ashtray. It is printed in gold and white. It has the Expo logo and different exhibits. It is marked: "MONTREAL", "TERRE DES HOMMES", "MAN AND HIS WORLD", "BIOSPHERE", "QUEBEC", "BEFFROI", and "LA RONDE". Next is a souvenir "GOOD LUCK" token coin. One side has the Expo logo and reads "TERRE DES HOMMES - MAN AND HIS WORLD". The other side has the Canadian flag, a horse shoe, and reads "MONTREAL CANADA" and "BONNE CHANCE - GOOD LUCK". Next is a colorful Parking Instruction brochure. The last item is an Expo postcard that was mailed in 1967. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the plates each measure 6-3/4" wide. |
