The pictures below show larger views all around this Boxed 1933 Walt Disney Enterprises Mickey Mouse Movie Jecktor Projector For Parts or Restoration. This Walt Disney Enterprises metal movie projector or “Jecktor” as it is called, is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1930s. It has the 1933 United States patent number 1,929,815, and other patents were pending. It is mostly complete, but it needs a few parts, and most of the advertising box is here as well. This would be an excellent projector for restoration, or for the rare parts, to complete another one. The projector has a nice looking colorful pie eyed Mickey Mouse decal on the top. It has both original metal hand cracks, with their original marked envelope, both assemblies to hold the films. It has the front housing section, that slides open, with the two lenses inside. It has the back housing, with ventilation slots, with tin parts inside, and the black wooden base is present. The metal parts and the wooden base have the original black paint, and other parts are silver colored tin. It does not have the light assembly or the electric cord section that mounts on the side. The box has early images of Mickey Mouse, Pluto, Goofy (or the Goof), Horace Horsecollar, and Clarabelle Cow in a theater using the Jecktor projector, which was “MADE BY MOVIE JECKTOR COMPANY, INC. 200 FIFTH AVE, NEW YORK, N.Y.”, with “FACTORY NO. 2, BRIDGEPORT, CONNECTICUT”. There is much more information under the original paper tape that was used on the box. There is another panel of the box that you are instructed to cut off and save. It has detailed instruction with a picture of the projector, as well as a long list of movie titles and characters that you could have ordered, in series or sets to form a library of films. To judge the size the cardboard box measures about 10-5/8'' x 8-1/4'' x 5-1/4''. The projector, minus the few missing parts, appears to be in excellent condition. The box has over all wear from handling over the years, about a 3'' section missing from one side as pictured. There are two smaller inside flaps that are loose, but they are included inside. There are no films included with this Jecktor. |
