| | | The picture shows a view of the (2) 1800s B.F.R.A. Fireman Convention Ribbons in this lot. The origin of these are unknown but they were found in the Boston, Massachusetts area. The first one has a silver bar at the top with a pin on the back. It has flowers and an uningraved scroll. It has two ribbons hanging from it with metallic braided fringe at the bottom. One ribbon is maroon and the other is a light blue. They are printed in silver. There is a steaming fire wagon with a fireman and horses and they read as follows: B.F.R.A. RECEPTION COMMITTEE The top of the second ribbon has a brass bar with balls and hanging pointed charms. There is a pin on the back. There are two ribbons, white and red, with metallic braided fringes on the bottom of each. This one reads as follows: B.F.R.A. '96. AID To judge the sizes the largest one measures 8-1/4'' long. It are in fair to good condition with water spotting and wear as pictured. |
