The picture below shows a larger view of the (4) Unused ©1955 IT Came From Beneath The Sea Monster Movie Ad Mat Mold & VHS Tape in this lot. The video tape has been watched and it plays well. It is ©1955, 1988. The ad mats are not dated but they are from 1955 when this movie was made. These are molds in which lead is poured into create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mats are like miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. The admats have the title, actors names, and images of the octopus looking creature attacking buildings, cars, and people. They are marked as follows:

The largest admat here measures about 2-1/2'' x 6. These appear to be in good to mint unused condition with some water spotting as pictured. The water spots do not affect the use of the molds.
