| | | The picture shows a view of this Unused 1956 Rodan The Flying Monster Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from the 1956 movie. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has a movie scene image of the Creature Rodan flying with jet airplanes and Soldiers attacking it. It is marked as follows: A SKY-HORROR 200 MILLION YEARS OLD HURTLES DOWN TO TERRORIZE THE WORLD! MOST HORRIFYING HELL CREATURE THAT EVER MENACED MANKIND! ''RODAN!'' THE FLYING MONSTER PRINT BY TECHNICOLOR THE KING BROTHERS PRESENT A TOHO PRODUCTION A DCA RELEASE ENTOMBED IN THE BOWELS OF THE EARTH FOR MILLIONS OF YEARS FREED BY THE EARTH SHAKING HELL BOMB...
