| | | The picture below shows a view of a portion of this December 31st, 1905 Boston Sunday Globe Newspaper Color Comic / Cartoon Section. It is much too big for scanning, but I did scan the top section which has the newspaper's name, the date, and a sampling of one of the comic strips. The one in this auction is from the last day of 1905. There are (4) full pages. On the first page there is a color comic strip entitled ''THE PERTURBED SPIRIT''. At the bottom of that page is humor stories. The next page has a Joke and Comic Cuts section. The third page has stories. The last page has a color Puzzle section entitled ''WHAT IS THE MATTER WITH ANN'S FIGURING?''. There are two puzzles to cut out. The bottom half of that page has a color comic strip entitled ''WISEWINKERS EXPOSES ANOTHER IMPOSITION ON THE PUBLIC''. The fully opened newspaper measures 36-1/2'' x 23-3/4''. It is in very good condition with normal wear and tear. |
