It is a specialty opener tool to open vacuum sealed jars more easily. You would insert the screw driver looking edge (arrows pointing) and turn it like a door key, to break the vacuum seal, and easily open the pickle jar. There are two holes in this steel metal tool to attach it to a key chain, ring, or cord, or to hang it on a hook or nail for easy access. It was found with the old red string that is on it.
