The picture below shows a larger view of all (6) Old Methodist Rally Day Religious Flag Celluloid Pin Back Buttons in this lot. These pinback buttons are old. Five of the pins are identical. The top center one is similar but older and has a slightly different design. That one is believed to be from the late 1800s or early 1900s. It has a (16) or (17) star American flag and church flag with a cross. This older one was made by The Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. These colorful celluloid buttons picture a (47) star American flag and a church flag with a cross tied together with a gold rope.
