This alligator whistle is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1930s. It is marked “JAPAN PAT 35,779”. The whistle is not dated, but the Japanese patent number is from 1921. The maker is unknown. This toy whistle may also have been sold in old five and dime stores, as well as old novelty, magic trick, and toy catalogs. The prize or toy alligator whistle measures about 3-1/4'' x 3/4'' x 1/4''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. |
