The second picture shows a little closer view of all but the map. This is an accumulated lot with a variety of items. Included are the following: There is a Downtown Lowell Historic District map. It was created by Chapter 566 of the acts of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts December 13, 1983 and expanded February 1986. There is a red and black City of Lowell Buildings Department “PERMIT ISSUED” card. It is Permit Number 124 of April 7th, 1953 for a building on 9 – 11 Edson Street. Next is a small bar advertising table tent. It was from “THE GABLES” on First Street in Lowell. The card advertises a Southern Comfort Cocktail and a Manhattan DeLuxe drink, each for 35c. This card was pasted in a scrap book and has some old paste on the back. There is an old City of Lowell Signature Identification Card. It is a watermarked card insured by the ABC System. It is signed by an employee and the City Treasurer. There is an unused St. Anne’s Episcopal Church postcard. There are (3) full unused Prince Grotto Restaurant advertising match boxes. Next is an old “FIRST FEDERAL SAVINGS OF LOWELL” advertising premium hair rain bonnet with a blue vinyl case. The plastic bonnet has a floral design. These were given out at bank branches in Lowell, Burlington, and Littleton. There are (2) unuised advertising premium pencils from a laundry. One has wear on the erasure. These are marked as follows: McCARTY’S NEW ENGLAND LAUNDRY INC. COAT, APRON AND TOWEL SUPPLY 20 SAUNDERS ST. LOWELL, MASS. PH. GL 7-7577 There are (2) vinyl notebook & penm holders or covers. These are black. They have a place to install a small note book, some cards or business cards, and an elastic loop to hold a pen. One of these has a “LOWELL FESTIVAL FOUNDATION” flag logo, and one has an “ALUMNI LOWELL” logo. There is a rubber and metal Lowell 5c Bank advertising premium keyring. There are (11) Lowell advertising pinback buttons included. These are as follows: (1) CITY OF LOWELL #392 STREET DEPT.. (1) 2003 LOWELL SUMMER MUSIC SERIES. (2) LOWELL MILL & CANAL TOUR (one undated and one is 1980). (3) 1836 – 1986 CELEBRATE LOWELL’S BIRTHDAY SESQUICENTENNIAL – 150. (4) LOWELL pinback buttons. The other (37) items in this lot are all matching drink swizzle stir sticks. These are made of black plastic and are in the shape of a sword. They are all marked as follows: THE SPEARE HOUSE – LOWELL. MASS. All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the Permit card measures about 11-1/4'' x 4-5/8''. These items appear to range from good to mint condition as pictured. |
