(8) Old Arlington, Massachusetts Parade Photograph Slides
Arlington   Massachusetts   Parade   Photo   Photograph   Slide   Nostalgic   Historic   Advertising   Military
The pictures show a view of all Arlington, Massachusetts in this lot. These slides are not dated but are believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. These old slides are encased in glass. There is much more detail then can be seen by the small scans. The following advertising signs can be read:

COCA - COLA
MODERN MARKET - MEAT, GROCERIES, FROSTED FOODS
DRUGS

There are different marchers, and floats. Those that can be read are as follows:

TOTEM OF THE EAGLE (T.O.T.E.) FRATERNAL GROUP WITH FLAGS
ODD FELLOWS FRATERNAL GROUP WITH FLAG & BANNER
U.S. MARINE CORPS RESERVE 2nd INFANTRY BN FLOAT
ARLINGTON COUNCIL KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS FLOAT (Americanism - Communism)
LEGIONAIRES FLOAT (many military men & women)
ARLINGTON, MASSACHUSETTS KIWANIS CLUB FLOAT
KIWANIS BOYS CLUB
MILITARY CAR
SCHOOL BAGS AROUND THE WORLD GIRL SCOUTS FLOAT

The slides each measure 2'' x 2''. The slides are in mint as made condition. These should be taken apart and the glass cleaned. The old black tape on the edges that holds the glass together should also be replaced.
