| The pictures below show larger views of all (246) ©1970 & 1971 Conway New Hampshire Fire Department & Rescue Squad Photographs in this lot. Well, there are so many that we could not show them all, but you can get an idea of the photos from the stacks in the pictures below. Some of these are dated 1970 and some are dated 1971. They were taken by a professional Photographer by the name of Brownlow L. Thompson of Conway, New Hampshire. There is a stamping on the backs of the larger photos. There are a few with names and there are some names that are on the paperwork with these. All of the photos are in black & white. They were probably taken to be used for newspaper stories training, or to make a training manual. (40) of the photographs are larger (5'' x 7''), and (206) are on what are called contact sheets (on photograph paper) using the negatives. There are some different photos, and some the same on the contact sheets. Hopefully these old photos will find their way to some of the Conway or North Conway Firemen pictured. To judge the sizes the larger photos in this lot measure 5'' x 7'', and the contact sheets each measure 10'' x 8''. They appear to be in mint condition as pictured. |
