The pictures below show larger front and back views of this Old Framed Young Girl & Cat Enlargement with The Original Photograph. This photograph is not dated and the year that the original was taken is unknown. The back of the small photo has the number “44” and that could be from the year 1944, but we do not know for sure. The photograph is of a young girl, in a dress, playing with a cat, in front of an old house. This framed photograph was acquired from an old estate with many more older photographs of different kinds dating back as far as the Civil War to the early 1900s, including many tintypes, carte de visite (CDV), and cabinet cards. The people are not identified, however, the majority of photographs were of people who were probably related, and had lived in Bangor, Maine and Rochester, New Hampshire. The photo enlargement is mounted inside the frame with two different color mat boards. The frame is made of wood with a pressed design detail. The frame has a cardboard panel backs and eye hooks to string a wire for hanging. The frame measures about 12-3/4'' x 15-5/8''. It appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. |
