It is believed to be designed by a Carolee Friedlander. There is an oval on the back but it is not marked. The brooch looks like a British military medal. It is made of a gold colored metal with a shield crest in the center and a crown at the top. It is enameled in green around the shield and around the crown. On a strap or belt with a buckle it is marked as follows: DUCHESS ROYAL NAVY The pin measures 1-3/8'' x 2-1/4''. It appears to be in mint condition as pictured. |
