| | | | The pictures show three views of this 1935 - 1936 Mens Bowling League Metal Cigarette Ash Tray Trophy. It has a man bowler figure and judging by the size of the bowling ball it appears that this was for candle pin bowling and not ten pin. We believe that this metal trophy once had a glass insert ashtray. It is no longer here, but it could be replaced. On the bottom is old dark green felt to protect surfaces. The trophy is engraved on one end as follows: M.C.B.L.
IND. AVE. 1935 - 6 The trophy measures about 4-1/8'' x 3-1/4'' x 4-1/2''. It appears to be in good condition with some old wear and a patina as pictured. As mentioned above, we think that there was a glass insert ashtray at one time. |
