| | | The pictures show a front and back view of this Colorful Old Celluloid Toy Pirate Doll Figure with Knife. This celluloid doll is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1920s or 1930s. It is simply marked ''JAPAN'' on the back of his hat. We believe that this was probably an old carnival toy prize or souvenir. His head, with hat, hands, and shoes are made of hollow celluloid. His clothes are made of a thin sewn cloth, and there is a ribbon on the top of his head to hang him up with. There is a skull and crossed bones or Jolly Roger on his hat, he is wearing an eye patch, and has a beard. In one hand he is holding a silver colored knife. We do not know what his body stuffing is made from. This pirate doll figure measures about 8'' tall. It appears to be in excellent condition. He has a tiny indent on his nose as pictured. |
