| | | | The pictures below show larger front and back views of the Old Brass or Bronze Pharmacy Hygrometer and Thermometer Gauges. This set of gauges is not dated and the year that it was made is unknown. It is not marked and the maker is unknown as well. On the front is a mortar & pestle on the left and the “Rx” prescription symbol on the right. In the center under a convex or dome glass cover, in a round metal frame, is a “humidity” gauge, or Hygrometer on the left, and a “temperature” gauge, or thermometer on the right. There are two legs, or feet for it to stand up on a desk or shelf. There are no markings on the back. This could have been used as an Pharmacist award or a retirement gift, but we do not know for sure. The set of gauges measures about 7-5/8'' x 5'' x 1-1/2''. Both gauges work very well, and the set appears to be in excellent or better condition. There is one tarnish spot on the right as pictured, that could use a cleaning. |
