| | | The picture below shows a larger view of this Interesting Old Black & White Scottish Couple Portrait Photograph. This photograph is nor dated but it is believed to be from the early 1900s. This interesting seated couple does not appear to be very fond of having their portrait photograph taken. The stern looking man is in a small ball cap and suit is crossing his arms, and the woman, probably his Wife, is in a hat and a very tight looking dress with many buttons. There are leaves in the background. It is marked on the back side as follows: D. GAYLOR. WATCHMAKER & JEWELLER 691 HIGH STREET, HAWICK The black & white photograph is in an oval and it is mounted on thick hard cardboard card. It measures about 4'' x 6-1/8''. The photograph is sharp and it appears to be in excellent condition. The white space outside of the oval and the card has some wear and spotting as pictured. The back has over all old spotting and glue at the top 1/2''. |
