It does work but will need some cleaning and oil. The tin hitch moves for front or back. Norfolk & Western (N & W) Erie Lithographed tin coal & oil tender car. Missing two wheels Santa Fe Union Pacific High Speed Service box car & Caboose together. Black painted cast iron tender car #1085. Wheels do not roll, as made. To judge the sizes the top left (1st) wind up engine measures about 3-1/4'' x 2'' x 1-3/8''.
