It was mailed to a Middletown, N.Y. address. This postcard has a door with a latch that opens revealing accordian pages of many New York images. There is the image on the outside and (10) images inside. The images have neatly hand written notes and titles that are marked as follows: NEW YORK SKY LINE FROM BROOKLYN, N.Y. (cover) STATUE OF LIBERTY NEW YORK SKY LINE FROM BROOKLYN (same as cover image but smaller) WILLIAMSBURG BRIDGE FLATIRON BUILDING GRANT'S TOMB ST. PAUL'S CHAPEL MADISON SQUARE, FLATIRON BUILDING TRINITY CHURCH ENTRANCE TO CENTRAL PARK CITY HALL SUBWAY STATION The postcard is also marked as follows: THE ROTOGRAPH CO., N.Y. CITY PAT. 12-5-05, NO806.631 The postcard (closed) measures 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. It is in good condition as pictured. The hinged area has a tear and is coming loose but it is still attached. All in all it's not too bad considering it is over 100 years old. |
