| | | The pictures show a front and back view of all (3) Old International Mutoscope Reel Company Souvenir Photomatic Photographs in this lot. The photos are in a tin frame with an imprinted cardboard backing. The photograph are of a young lady, a young man, and an older woman. These were taken at a Photomatic booth at either the 1939 - 1940 New York Worlds Fair, a popular tourist attraction, boardwalk, or amusement park and saved as a souvenir. The booth may have been in an amusement arcade or in an exhibit building. The backs have advertising and a place to write in information where the photo was taken. One (with the man) has writing that is difficult to read. I can make out ''COLUMBUS'' and '''38'' (1938). One has an unused press out easel back section and hanger hole. These are marked as follows: TAKEN BY THE PHOTOMATIC REG. U.S. PAT. OFF. MADE IN U.S.A. INTERNATIONAL MUTOSCOPE REEL CO., INC. NEW YORK CITY The photos with the frames each measure 2-9/16'' x 3-1/16''. They are in poor to fair condition as pictured. One has rusting on the frame. The photos have various spots or scratches as pictured. |
