| | | The picture shows a view of this Old Lithographed Tin Joke or Trick Novelty Toy Radio. This joke radio is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The way this radio works is when a person pushes the on/off button, it opens the speaker section door. Out pops a fake white mouse. The mouse has a spring inside it. As the mouse comes out it also activates a squeaking noise mechanism inside. The pictures show the closed radio with the mouse. This trick radio may have come from an old magic shop, a catalog, or from an old comic book advertisement. It is marked ''HAPPY'' and ''TRANSISTOR'' on the front. The tin joke radio measures 4-3/4'' x 2-3/4'' x 1-1/2''. It is in near mint to mint condition as pictured. There is a strap that is made of an unusual plastic material. |
