The picture shows a view of the (2) Unused 1953 The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms Movie Ad Mat Molds. The molds are still attached. The ad mats are not dated but it is from the 1953 movie. These are molds in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this.

The ad mats are like a miniature 3-D posters and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. They are made of a thick compressed paper board. These admats have movie scene images of the Beast coming up out of the ocean and people running. They are marked as follows:

(#1)
MAT NO. M.S.-2A
''THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS''

(#2)
FANTASTIC SEA-GIANT CRUSHES CITY!
''THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS''
WARNER BROS. THRILL PICTURE YOU'VE BEEN HEARING ABOUT ON TV AND RADIO!

The ad mats together as pictured measure about 4-1/8'' x 9-1/4''. They appear to be in near mint unused condition with the tip of the lower right corner cut off as pictured. This would not effect using the mold. Below here, for reference, is a cast list from the 1953 movie:
