The second picture shows a smaller extra framed color Polaroid photograph of the man receiving the award. The large frame is made of stained wood, with a red background, and a large mounted fire badge emblem or insignia with “FD”, fireman helmets, ladder, hook, fire hydrant, axes, rope, and a fire hose nozzle. Mounted below it is a Woonsocket, Rhode Island “Private” #1 Fireman badge with the City of Woonsocket, Rhode Island seal. The man spent 36+ years in service as a Fireman. There is a mounted brass plate that reads as follows: WILLIAM TRUDEL IN TRIBUTE FOR LONG AND FAITHFUL SEVICE TO THE WOONSOCKET FIRE DEPT. APPT. 4 – 27 – 49 RET. 9 – 6 – 85 On the back is a manufacturer’s sticker that reads: WORLD TROPHIES INC. 275 SILVER SPRING STREET PROVIDENCE, R.I. 02904 (+phone number) The bonus smaller frame is clear plastic with a color Polaroid photo of the Fireman receiving the above retirement award. The frame measures about 15'' x 19-1/8'' x 2''. It appears to be excellent condition with some wear, and some spotting or fading on the red background as pictured. |
