The picture shows a view of this Old Metal Defecating Dog Figure Novelty Toy With Tablets. This novelty toy is not dated but it s old. The squatting dog is made of lead or pot metal. The way this works is one of the tablet plugs is placed in a hole on the dogs bottom. It is lit and blown out. The tablet then turns into a long black snake like object resembling the dog defecating. The (5) tablets that are included come in their original box. The box pictures a snake charmer and a cobra snake. It is marked on the top and sides as follows:

SOONER EGGS OR PHARAOH'S SERPENTS
WHEN LIT AT ONE END PILL WILL FORM INTO A CONTINUOUS SNAKE.
MUST BE WELL IGNITED
POISON
MADE IN U.S.A.

To judge the sizes the dog figure measures about 2-1/2'' x 1-5/8'' x 1''. It appears to be in excellent or better used condition as pictured. The box for the plugs has some wear and soiling.
