| | | The picture shows a view of all (10) Old Brass State Police Officer Uniform Buttons in this lot. These buttons are not dated. There are (7) that are New Hampshire State Police buttons with a detailed state emblem of a sailing ship, sunrise and men on the shore. One (upper right) is a Maine State Police button, and there are two others. These have a shank on the back. They could be sewn on but they are normally used with a washer and a metal cotter pin on the back. Most of these were made by the Waterbury Company in Waterbury, Connecticut. The one marked ''POLICE'' on the front is marked ''EVANS CO.'' on the back. These all came from New Hampshire from a dry cleaner that cleaned New Hampshire and Maine State Police uniforms. Except for the larger one on the right, the buttons each measure about 5/8'' wide. They appear to range from excellent to mint unused condition as pictured. The larger button takes a screw back section that is missing. |
