This is an accumulated lot with a wide variety of airplane related items. They are not dated but the items are believed to range from the40s to the 1980s. They are made of both metal and plastic. Included in this lot are the following items: There is an old Kellogg’s PEP Cereal Air Force jet plane wings prize. It is not dated but believed to be from the 1940s or 1950s. They are made of a thin metal. They are embossed, and are marked as follows: KELLOGGS PEP AIR FORCE TURBO JET PLANE There is an old silver plastic Air Force Seadart cereal prize jet airplane. This would have come with a base, but there is not one included here. There are (2) matching Bell X-1A U.S.A.F. lithographed tin pin back buttons. These may have also been old cereal prizes as well. They are part of a set of pinback buttons. There is an old U.S. Army Air Corps toy ring, a U.S.A. Jr. Pilot wings charm, and (2) different airplane charms. All four of these were used as gumball machine prizes in the 1950s. Three of them are metal coated plastic, and one is silver painted plastic. There are (4) different sets of airline or airport wings pins. Three of these were given to children flying, and one is believed to be an employee pin. These include the following: BURKE LAKEFRONT AIRPORT (painted plastic) UNITED AIRLINES (painted metal) employee pin? AMERICAN AIRLINES AA JUNIOR PILOT with eagle (embossed metal) AMERICAN AIRLINES AA (embossed metal) There is a small old pin back button with wings and a torch in the center. It is marked on the two sides as follows: WINGS DAVID C. COOK PUBLISHING CO. ELGIN NEW YORK BOSTON There is a tiny old screw back pin that has a set of wings and a red enameled State of Maine in the center. The screw back section is included. Next is a small United States Air Force Academy AFA pin. The star on this metal pin is enameled in red, white, and blue. The final item in this lot is an old metal Civil Air Patrol metal uniform button. It has a propeller in a triangle emblem and the back reads as follows: SUPERIOR QUALITY All sixteen of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the United Airlines pin in the center measures about 1-5/8'' wide. These items appear to range from excellent to mint condition as pictured and described above. |
