| | | | The picture shows a view of this Old Boxed United States Navy U.S & Foreign Ship Recognition Study Card Deck. These cards are not dated but they are old. These cards were from The Special Devices Center, Department of The Navy, Office of Naval Research. Unlike many identification decks, these also have actual ship images as well as silhouettes and information on the other side. They each give the ship country, ship classification, ship type, length, and displacement. These cards include ships and submarines from the United States, Great Britain, France, and the U.S.S.R.. We were going to name the different ships on the cards, but the photo images do not have any hull numbers. The cards each measure 3-1/2'' x 2-1/4''. The cards appear to be in mint condition, but the box has wear as pictured and a piece of scotch tape on one flap. The deck includes the following cards: United States - Indepenence Class - CVL
